The symbol that people most identify marketing by has always been the funnel but the symbol is becoming obsolete in today’s marketing world. Today’s new symbol depicts the buyers journey. It follows the same route as the funnel but adds in paying attention to the customer after their purchases have been made. The journey shows whether a customer will rejuvenate the journey and keep buying from a company or divert their path, to buy from a competitor.
